Custom Tools, Dashboards & Integrations

Business Automation & Custom Tools for UK SMEs

Internal dashboards, client portals, integrations, and MVPs. Built around how your business actually works.

Every business has a process that's held together by a spreadsheet, an inbox, and one person's memory. It works until it doesn't. We build the internal tools, dashboards, and integrations that replace manual workarounds with software your team can rely on. Whether it's a client portal that stops you chasing updates by email, a job tracker that replaces your whiteboard, or an integration that syncs your CRM with your invoicing system, we build it to fit your business, not force your business to fit a platform. We also build AI-assisted MVPs for founders who need to test an idea before committing to a full product.

    Questions

    Automation and custom software questions

How much does a custom internal tool cost?

Most projects fall between £2,000 and £25,000, depending on how many people use the tool, how many systems it connects to and how much of the process it covers. You receive a fixed scope and price before development starts. See how pricing works.

How long does it take to build?

Typically between two and eight weeks. A single automation between two systems sits at the short end. A client portal or a founder MVP with several user types sits at the long end.

Should we buy software instead of building it?

Sometimes. Process discovery compares off-the-shelf software, configuring the tools you already have and building something bespoke. We recommend building only when the other two options would leave the problem in place. Our guide on replacing spreadsheets with an internal tool explains how to decide.

    Which systems can you connect?

Most business software with an API, including CRMs, accounting packages, booking systems, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. We use n8n, Make or Zapier where they are the right fit, and custom integrations where they are not.

What happens after the tool is delivered?

You receive documentation and handover training, and the code is written so another developer can pick it up. Ongoing maintenance is available if you want it, but it is not a condition of the project.

How do you keep the data in custom tools secure?

Access control, multi-factor authentication and data protection are part of the design, not an afterthought. The same people who prepare businesses for Cyber Essentials build the tools, so security standards are applied from the start.
